Find Forró parties, classes and festivals near you – free on iOS, Android and the web.

Open the app on iOS or Android, or the events in your browser, to see the upcoming Forró events near you. Many cities also have their own page with all upcoming events; you find them on the events page.

All festivals are on the festival page, and on the Forró map you can find organisers, teachers and musicians in your city.

On the calendar page you can subscribe to the Forró calendar of your city in Apple Calendar, Outlook or Google Calendar. There is one with all events, one with only classes & workshops and one with only parties & social dancing. New events appear automatically.

Every city with at least 3 upcoming events gets a calendar. Organisers don't need to do anything: their events are included automatically, and with the right hashtags they also go into the classes or the parties calendar.

Yes. The app will always stay free for everyone.

Content Development:
As the App is a big win for the Forró community and helps to unite and grow Forró, Daniel from the Forró Federation and other volunteers help to bring everyone on board.

Yes, you can wish for a new feature. Just send us an email at info@forro-app.com.

If you are logged in, please log out first. Then go back to the account tab and create a new business account. Only business accounts can create events.

First, you need to log in with your business account. (How to do that is explained in the question above.)

Then go to the events tab and click the + sign at the bottom.

Hashtags sort your event into the right lists:

• #Festival: your event appears automatically on the festival page and in the festival list of the Forró Federation.
• #Class, #Lesson, #Workshop, #Kurs, #Aula: your event goes into the city calendar for classes & workshops and onto the Forró classes page of your city, written for people who want to learn Forró.
• #Party, #Social, #Practice, #Concert, #Bal: your event goes into the city calendar for parties & social dancing.

Events without any of these hashtags also go into the calendar for parties & social dancing.

It is 16:9.

Automatically, as soon as there are at least 3 upcoming Forró events in your city in the app. The city page shows the next events, is updated every night and contains the data Google needs to show the events in its event search. Dancers can also subscribe to the city's calendar there.

So the best way to get your city listed is to add your regular classes and parties to the app.

Your events are on the page of your city (as soon as it has one, see above), together with the data Google needs for its event search. Google decides itself which events it shows, but complete events have the best chance:

• Place: pick the venue from the suggestions while typing, so the full address with street is saved.
• Image: add a picture in 16:9.
• Description: write what happens, for whom, and who teaches or plays.
• Price: write one amount in euros, like 10€, or 0€ for free events. Texts like “donation based” or several prices are shown in the app, but not passed on to Google.
• Time: enter the real start and end time. For a weekly class, create a repeating event instead of one event that lasts for weeks.
• Hashtags: use the hashtags, so your event also appears on the class page and in the right calendar.

AI assistants like ChatGPT read the same pages, so this helps there too.
